What ProPay does with SkillCat
When a claim is ready for dispatch, ProPay can check a technician’s certifications and completed training in SkillCat against what the job requires, an EPA 608 certification for refrigerant work, for example, before assigning the job.
Where a technician hasn’t completed the training a job calls for, ProPay can flag the gap or route the job to someone who has, rather than dispatching a truck roll that stalls once the technician arrives.
ProPay logs which certification or training record supported a given dispatch decision, so the assignment is traceable back to the qualification that justified it.
How the SkillCat connection works
SkillCat tracks certification and course completion at the technician level, which is where ProPay reads training status.
Where SkillCat doesn’t expose a field ProPay needs, a Forward Deployed Engineer builds the mapping during deployment so certification checks run automatically as part of dispatch.
What stays with SkillCat
Course content, certification issuance, and technician training records stay entirely with SkillCat. ProPay doesn’t train or certify anyone, it reads the record SkillCat already keeps.
Data handling and security
Certification data pulled from SkillCat runs on a company-specific ProPay instance, one client’s technician records are never accessible to another. ProPay is SOC 2 compliant, with both Type I and Type II audits complete.
Every dispatch decision that relies on a SkillCat certification check is logged alongside the specific record it drew from.
