Kanmon
Embedded lending API for working capital and equipment financing
ProPay integrates with Kanmon to surface financing offers to contractors and suppliers. Kanmon provides embedded lending, working capital, invoice financing, and equipment loans that platforms offer directly to their business customers. ProPay surfaces a Kanmon offer only after an invoice has already been validated.
Kanmon provides embedded lending, working capital, invoice financing, and equipment loans that software platforms offer directly to their business customers. For ProPay, Kanmon is a financing option surfaced at the point an invoice is already validated, not a system that decides whether a claim is covered.
What ProPay does with Kanmon
Once ProPay has validated a contractor or supplier invoice against the authorization decision that approved the work, it can surface a Kanmon-backed financing offer, working capital or equipment financing, to that contractor or supplier at the moment payment would otherwise wait on your standard cycle.
The invoice ProPay presents to Kanmon carries the same authorization record, confidence level, and validated amount used for standard payment, so any financing offer is underwritten against a claim ProPay has already reconciled, not a raw request.
Kanmon then handles the underwriting, servicing, and collections for any loan originated through the offer, exactly as it does for its other platform partners.
How the Kanmon connection works
Kanmon exposes a documented API for embedding financing offers, which is where ProPay passes validated invoice and payment context.
A Forward Deployed Engineer sets up the Kanmon connection during deployment, deciding which contractors and suppliers see financing offers and under what thresholds.
What stays with Kanmon
Underwriting, loan servicing, and collections stay entirely with Kanmon. ProPay doesn’t extend credit itself, it surfaces the offer at the right moment in an already-validated payment flow.
Data handling and security
Invoice and payment data shared with Kanmon comes from a company-specific ProPay instance, one client’s financial data is never accessible to another. ProPay is SOC 2 compliant, with both Type I and Type II audits complete.
Every financing offer ProPay surfaces is logged alongside the authorization decision and confidence level behind it, so any offer is traceable back to the claim that generated it.
Deploying the integration
A dedicated Forward Deployed Engineer sets up the Kanmon connection to match which contractors and suppliers should see financing offers and at what invoice thresholds.
